Bored Half to Death

It didn't take much to get Meredith Delany bored, and school did it easier than most things. All she really wanted to do was get away from the place and maybe work on some music with her dad, but instead she was stuck in school and hoped that the day would somehow speed up and end a lot faster than what it was doing now.

At least right now was lunch. She got her food from the cafeteria lady (god she hoped that she never got that big or greasy looking), heading out into the lunch room, skirt swishing across her hips. She was looking around for a place to sit, hopefully with friends. She was already dreadfully bored with the day, and something that would make it a heck of a lot worse was to be sitting alone.

"Don't go to Makeout Point," Nica said to Meredith as she walked past, going in the opposite direction. Nica had her books and her sketchbook clutched to her chest. "Rabies. Not kidding," she added, over her shoulder.

Being a star athlete had its perks, even in the off-season. Leaving class early wasn't something Rex could get away with every day, so he tried to save it for Fridays or other days where the mood of the school was generally relaxed.

Today he was making sure to stake out one of the bigger tables -- it was only fair, since he usually attracted quite a crowd and had to make sure there was room for them all. He spotted Nica as she made her way through the room and gave a casual half-wave. Very casual.

Georgio sat a table poking through today's school lunch offering. He considered writing an ode to meatloaf, and its mysterious contents. He glanced up when he heard Nica's voice though, thankfully distracting him from such pursuits. In doing so, he spotted her and Mere, giving them both a wave.

"Hey, ladies-- over here!"
