Gloria felt like she was going to cry. Since she had decided to work in the sciences and her family abandoned her for that choice, no one had anyone said something like this to her. She had always felt alone and outcast. She tried to speak and it took a moment to collect herself so that she did not cry.

"Thank you." She sighed and straightened herself, regaining control. "You all have my skill to get us through these incidents. I will find a way to protect us against this disease."
